This API is comprised of a set of resources (Ontologies, Classes, etc) and related endpoints (Search, Annotator, Recommender) that are connected together via links, much like webpages.

This SPARQL endpoint is maintained by NCBO for demo purposes. It serves as playground to explore BioPortal's ontologies in RDF and we do not recommend its use for production applications or heavy batch processing. As an alternative, our virtual appliance is packaged with a SPARQL endpoint that can be used for local deployments.
